Exceptional Career Opportunities

There are currently no employment opportunties at The Friendship Center.

Not only does The Friendship Center provide an impressive array of services, it is a wonderful place to work and learn! Our state of the art facility is the result of a $2.2 million capital campaign and boasts over 10,000 square feet of living and office space. Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the building.

Our wages are as competitive as possible, and we provide an exceptional benefits package that includes medical, dental and life insurance and a very generous retirement plan. Our full-time staff members enjoy a total of more than 5 weeks paid vacation and sick leave. In addition, they are paid for holidays during which the agency is closed and receive an additional paid day of leave for each of those. During the Christmas holiday season, the agency operates with limited staff in order to provide staff with additional paid leave which does not count against vacation or sick time accrued. After five years of employment, full-time staff members qualify for a paid, 30 day sabbatical. Depending upon the success of the annual fundraising efforts, staff members may also receive an annual bonus.

The working environment at the Friendship Center is supportive and full of opportunities to grow and develop a successful career in the field of human services. Employees are encouraged and empowered to learn new skills as well as to enhance those they already have. Our expectations of professionalism and integrity are exceptionally high, and we believe this provides our staff members with a unique advantage in the business and human services community. It is truly a privilege to place The Friendship Center on your resume.

Direct Services Team

Our direct services team is comprised of six members who specialize in certain services but who are also cross-trained in all programs supported by the agency. Current team members are bachelor and masters level professionals with a range of 1 to 15 years experience in social services agencies.

Support Services Team

Our support services team is comprised of both full and part time staff performing a variety of tasks and duties that include, but are not limited to, outreach, education, fundraising, facilities management and administrative support. Although not always a required qualification, many members of this team are well educated, and they all bring years of rich experience to their positions.

Management Team

Our management team consists of our Executive Director and two team leaders who provide the staff with opportunities to reach their full, professional potential. From entry level training to coaching to clinical supervision, our team leaders work side by side with every member of the staff to offer the benefits of their professionalism and experience through a mentorship style of daily supervision.

Volunteer Programs

Volunteers provide our agency with more than 6,000 hours of service every year. These unique people staff our 24 hour crisis line, provide child care, perform a variety of professional and support services, maintain our facility and staff our fundraising events as well as our annual conference. Our volunteers are one of the Friendship Center’s most valuable assets.
