Donate to The Friendship Center

The Friendship Center scrambles to keep up with a dramatically increasing caseload.  In 2001, The Center served 350 survivors of these terrible crimes.  In 2008, we served 1200 victims, including 300 children.

There is no way we could provide safe shelter and a broad range of services without the amazing support we receive from individuals, churches, businesses and services clubs. All services are free and confidential.

If you would like to help, please mail your contribution to The Friendship Center, 1430 Sanders, Helena, MT 59601.  If you would like to use PayPal, please click on the button below.

Our Cell Phone Recycling Program

Used cell phones can be used as 911 phones or to help provide funds for programs.  In both cases, victims of relationship abuse will benefit.

Our cell phone fundraiser program is sponsored by Shelter Alliance (www.shelteralliance.net), a program of cell phone recycling company GRC Wireless Recycling (www.grcrecycling.com). Through Shelter Alliance, nonprofit organizations raise funds through the collection & recycling of used cell phones, and businesses & consumers donate & recycle cell phones to benefit nonprofit participants.

You may drop your used cell phone, regardless of age or condition, at The Friendship Center or Valley Bank (Main, Eastside, Downtown or East Helena branches).  Other drop-off locations are: Fireside Coffee, Lewis and Clark Public Library,  Heritage Food Store in East Helena, Our Redeemers’ Lutheran Church, the Real Food Store, Wheat Montana and the Bagel Company on 11th Ave.

Please contact The Friendship Center if your agency or organization would like to have a collection box.

Many thanks to Soroptimist International of Helena http://www.sihelena.org/ for their assistance with this program.  All proceeds from this recycling program directly benefit local victims of sexual assault and domestic violence.
